Alchemy: the process of deconstructing, combining, and reconstructing matter.
Sewing: the process of reshaping and combining flat fiber material, and forming new products.
It is very satisfying to see a garment come together. Two-dimensional shapes coming together to form a three-dimensional garment.
This is only my test muslin—there are some bodice adjustments I still need to make—but the dress I will begin a new phase of my life in is coming together.

Thank you! I hope the sleeves will stay up–the pattern has elastic built in, so I suspect it will. But that is my one area of concern. I don’t want to be constantly adjusting the sleeves all day.
