Facebook Memories reminded me that this used to be a thing I did on my blog, when I was inbetween finished projects.
More recently Instagram has been one big “what’s on the mannequin” feed with bonus kitty pictures.
Even so, I like this type of blog post, a little less manicured and thoughtfully planned out.
So without further ado, this is what is on my mannequin right now.
If you follow me on Instagram you already saw this photo and one that preceded it from my NYC trip. I bought this 4ft long piece of hand dyed linen from a fiber artist, Saint Atma, in Brooklyn’s Artists and Fleas market.
I knew immediately that I wanted to make a dress and when I got home I did a quick drape on my dress form. It looks like it wants to be a v-neck shirt dress with side pockets and a bit of an A-line skirt.
