What took me so long to discover the joys of infinity scarves?
What was my aversion to them? I can clearly remember not being interested in them and even rolling my eyes at the name. Was it my mid-20’s “I’m too cool for trends” phase? Honestly, I can’t even remember. And when you can’t remember why you disliked something, it is time to reevaluate.
As I’ve been discovering after two years and three attempts at the Wardrobe Architect process, style preferences change.
Infinity scarves have an effortless coolness about them. One twist and they are in place for the rest of the day. In contrast, my linear scarves regularly fall off or unwrap themselves.

A recent Goodwill trip brought two new scarves into my life. I bought these scarves because of their colors and material, not because they were infinity scarves. (I had been coveting my coworker’s infinity scarf for the past few months so I was more than willing to give these a try.) Now, I can’t stop wearing them.

Bonus: If this is going to be my new favorite accessory, it will be easy to make more! What are your favorite accessories?
I love a good infinity scarf too. I have, um, too many. 10? More? I also like really big rectangular scarves, and really square scarves that I fold into triangles and wear like a huge cowboy bandana. Any kind of scarf that stays put is good!
I love infinity scarfs too. You are right they do never fall off which is a huge problem for me and my sloping shoulders. I have been knitting them like crazy since last year. I am addicted plus the weather here is rotten and perfect scarf weather for about 90% of the year. I love your grey patterned one. Xx
